Delicate Catering was founded in 2010 by passionate chef and foody Martin Krop. The third-generation chef has been pottering about in the hotel kitchens since he was knee high. Martin had an opportunity to further develop his love for food and skills in the preparation and presentation while working alongside professional chefs in continental Europe and Scotland.
Nowdays locals as well as holidaymakers visiting Scotland can experience his culinary skills where Martin’s Restaurant comes to their doorstep.
Martin provides a level of personalised service not possible to achieve in a traditional restaurant environment. Smaller events are catered by Martin, while for larger events he is joined by tried & trusted reliable chefs and front of the house staff.
He is passionate about sourcing his ingredients personally from local suppliers and farm shops to ensure they are of the highest quality. He purchases all of ingredients specifically for each menu for each occasion, ensuring the best and most appropriate local suppliers are used each time, therefore he is able to use the ingredient straight away – at their freshest.
If Martin doesn’t cook for clients, you can find him fishing in Scotland or learning new culinary secrets around Europe. He also loves playing squash and passing on his cooking experience to his young children, Benjamin (5) and Lillian (2).
